FAQs
What is your usual timeline to fund?
We like to talk to companies as early as often in your journey as we can. We have often met people while they are still at the stage of idea formulation. Our sweet spot for funding companies impressive early traction or great product-market fit.
For later-stage opportunities, we can respond fairly quickly. We have a process that honors due diligence calls, both with people you've worked with within the past, and customers or potential customers. This can often take a few weeks. We also reach out to our LPs who may have particular domain expertise and answers to specific questions we have regarding your company
What is your average check size?
To manage risk and help entrepreneurs scale, our average initial check size is usually a few thousand dollars per interested investor in our syndicate. We then may follow-on in subsequent rounds if given the option.
How do you work with companies post-investment?
We can work as closely or distanced as you want. We also often refer to people from our extensive network of contacts to provide consulting or become full-time employees at companies.
What do your most successful investments have in common?
A great management team and really good ideas are equally important to us.
Do you fund companies that have already raised capital?
We deal with entrepreneurs who have usually raised some capital from friends and family, in addition to the various programs/accelerators/grants. We often come in at the end of a pre-seed or seed round.
